Version swap on the same link

An issued link is a promise. Replacing the document behind it should not mean breaking that promise and sending a new one.

What it does

Right-click a document and choose Replace file: every live link serves the new version from its next open, with nothing to reissue.

Previous versions stay in your history, private by default, and you can choose per link whether its viewers may see what changed.

Why the link must not change

A link you have already issued is in somebody else's inbox, calendar or deal folder. Reissuing it means chasing every recipient and hoping they use the new one, and it means the old one either dies or keeps serving stale material. Swapping the file behind a stable link avoids both.
