“We built 99 Data Rooms after sending one too many decks into the void. You should know who opened it, and which page they stopped on. That is the whole product.”

A bot, not a spinner

It tells you what is happening.

It blinks while it waits, spins while it works, smiles when a file lands and crosses its eyes when something breaks. One honest face, in every corner of the product.

Basic legal documents, drafted for you

A legal-document assistant that drafts NDAs and other standard agreements for England and Wales, assembled from vetted, professionally-maintained open-source clause templates; a starting point, not legal advice. It fills the blanks from a few plain questions, then routes the result for signature in the same room. In development for the Business tier.

One tool, where the others need three.

Drafting, secure sharing, gating, watermarking, tracking and signing, in one place and for any industry. Here is how 99 Data Rooms lines up against DocuSign, DocSend and SeedLegals on the capabilities people actually switch for.

Questions

Asked before signing up.

What is a virtual data room?

A virtual data room is a private, access-controlled space online where you share a set of documents with named viewers. 99 Data Rooms gives UK and EU teams secure, tracked, gated document and room sharing: per-link controls, e-signature and page-by-page viewer analytics.

Is there a free plan?

Yes, and it is a free tier, not a trial. It covers three data rooms and 25 active links with basic analytics and email support. No card, and it does not expire, which makes it one of the more affordable ways to share documents securely.

How do I tell if someone opened my PDF?

Send it through 99 Data Rooms instead of as an attachment. You get the viewer's email, the time, the device, the approximate city, dwell time on each page and how far they read.

Is an electronic signature legally recognised in the UK?

Electronic signatures are admissible and widely recognised under the law of England and Wales for most commercial documents. 99 Data Rooms strengthens yours with evidence: every executed PDF carries an audit certificate recording the signer's IP, a confirmed intent-to-sign step, timestamps and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the signed file. Some documents, such as deeds, wills, land transfers and lasting powers of attorney, carry extra legal formalities, so this is general information, not legal advice.

How does e-signature work here?

Design the form on your document: drop signature, text and date fields exactly where they belong, assign each to a signer, and send. Recipients fill and sign in their browser, no account needed. Pro covers two signers; Business adds more.

Where are my documents stored?

In the UK. Documents sit in secure storage in London, encrypted with AES-256 at rest, and viewer traffic carries no ad or cross-site trackers. A DPA is available on request.

Can I revoke access after sending a link?

At any time, in one click. Existing viewers lose access immediately, even on pages they had already opened.

Is 99 Data Rooms GDPR-ready?

Yes. 99 Data Rooms hosts documents in the UK (London), signs a DPA on request, supports full data export and account deletion within 30 days, and runs no third-party trackers on viewers.

How is 99 Data Rooms different from DocSend?

Same page-by-page analytics and link controls, but it is built and hosted in the UK and bills a flat rate in GBP rather than per seat in US dollars, which usually works out cheaper. It is the founder-friendly alternative, and the free tier does not expire.

Do you support NDAs?

Yes. The Business tier collects NDA acceptance before viewers can open a data room, with a timestamped receipt logged against their email.

Can 99 Data Rooms draft legal documents?

Not yet. A legal-document assistant is in development for the Business tier. It drafts NDAs and other basic legal documents for England and Wales, assembled from vetted, professionally-maintained open-source clause templates; a starting point, not legal advice. Everything it drafts will route straight into e-signature.

Do recipients need an account?

No. Recipients open documents directly in their browser. You can require their email and a one-time code, but they do not sign up.

Can I replace a document without resending links?

Yes. Swap the source file once and every active link serves the new version. Previous versions are kept in your private version history, not shown to viewers.

What file types are supported?

PDF today. Upload a PDF and it renders consistently on any device, with per-page analytics, gating and signing. Wider format support (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and images) is on the roadmap.

Send your next deck
like you mean it.

Upload a PDF. Send a link. See who opened it, for how long, and on which page. The receipt on the right is yours: this page has been doing to you what the product does to a deck.
